Chartered with Toastmasters International, the Vancouver Gavel Club is meeting from 7pm to 9pm Tuesdays at Prince of Wales Secondary School in Vancouver. It is a club for youths age 12 to 17. Toastmasters International is a world leader in communication and leadership development. Its 332,000 members improve their speaking and leadership skills by attending one of the 15,400 clubs in 135 countries.

Mohammed Murad, DTM, served as International President of Toastmasters International in 2014/2015. Distinguished Toastmaster (DTM) is the highest level in Toastmasters award, which is given to members who have achieved both the Advanced Communication Gold and Advanced Leader Silver awards. To achieve the DTM, it typically takes five to eight years of service and leadership at the local and area levels.

Mohammed Murad is a proud Emirati, Husband, Father, Life Coach, Keynote Speaker, and Trainer. He graduated from the Dubai Police Academy, and holds 2 Masters Degrees – an MBA and a Masters of Quality Management. He is a retired Police Officer dedicated to make this world a better place. Among the speeches and workshop he delivered, he was a Keynote Speaker at the District 96 Fall 2015 Conference in Burnaby, BC (November 20-22).
