We have a last-minute invitation to a workshop we hold three times a year: The SACY Adult Toolkit.

The SACY Adult Toolkit is a relaxed and friendly evening offering an opportunity for adults to add to our toolkits by increasing our literacy about teens and substance use, especially cannabis. There are a few spots left so I am sending an invitation out to the larger group in case people are interested and available. (There is another date in June)

SACY ToolkitThursday March 31, 2016: The SACY Adult Toolkit

6:30 – 8:30 pm at Sir Charles Tupper Secondary

Come to the portable on the corner of Prince Edward and East 23rd.

The attached poster has more information about exact location and how to register.

This workshop is for parents whose teens:

– have participated in our three-day prevention program for youth (SACY or STEP)

– are attending parties or have friends who use substances

– may be using substances themselves, whether “experimentally” or “occasionally” or “regularly.”

Or if you are interested in learning more for yourself!

During the evening,  you’ll find out more about our educational approach to working with youth in the three day prevention education program and  explore how to help youth think of relevant reasons (to them!) for continuing to make good decisions in the teen years.  And you’ll get a chance to talk about some of the current thinking about alcohol, marijuana and teen development — lots of space for parents to ask questions and share your own knowledge.

Please let me know if you would like to attend.

(if you would no longer like to be on this mailing list, please let me know.)

Take care
