The PW Health and Safety Committee is looking for 15 parents/guardians to volunteer on Thursday, May 4th during the District Wide Earthquake Drill. This year, the District has asked all schools to solicit parent volunteers to practice the student-parent reunification component of the Drill. This is where parents come to the school after an emergency evacuation and pick up their child. Specific to this drill, we are looking for 15 parents who would come to PW approximately around 2:30 p.m. on May 4th and pick up their child. This involves each parent reporting to The Command Centre (which at PW is located in the tennis court), showing ID, waiting for a staff runner to bring the student to a designated release point and then taking the student home. Re the last part, depending on the time of release, the parent really could take their child home or perhaps simply give the child a hug and send them back with their classmates should the class be going back into the school.
