Parent Involvement = Student Success

The family-school-community connection really does make a difference. Common sense and research tells us that parent involvement increases student success in school and in life. Recent research studies on parental involvement in education found that:

• The family makes critical contributions to student achievement from preschool through high school
• When parents are involved at school as well as at home, students do better and stay in school longer
• When a critical mass of parents is involved, the whole school improves.

This year, make a difference by supporting student learning at home and at school by getting involved in the activities of the school and the PW PAC.

The purpose of the PAC is to support, encourage, and improve the quality of education and well being of students in our school by providing advice to the school principal and staff on matters related to school programs, policies, plans and activities.

PAC meetings are held on a monthly basis in the PW library, starting at 7:00p.m. Meeting Schedule. PAC meetings usually include short reports from the PAC chairperson, treasurer, School Planning Council reps, school principal, student council rep, school staff rep, parent education committee, Mini-school rep, TREK rep, and other reports, as necessary. Many PAC meetings also include a parent education component!

家 长的参与 = 子女的成功

家庭+学校+社区，三方交流互动的影响，是难以斗量的。无论从常识还是学术角度来看，家长积极参与学校的活动，都能提升 他们子女在学业和生活的成功机会。近期有关家长参与学校活动的调查指出：

• 子 女无论学前学习以至高中学习，学生家长的关注起了重要的影响。
• 家长若是关心学生在学校和家里的学习，子女都有较佳的表现和较 长的学习。
• 学校若有大部分的家长关注和参与其活动的，这些学校都有所增益。

为了孩子的学 习和利益，请你今年也来参加威尔斯王子中学和家教会的 活动！

家教会成立的目的是促进和改善学校的教育质素，与提高学生的学习环 境，方法是让家长一起参与学校的会议，共同探讨学校的课程，活动，计划和政策。

家教会的聚会是每月一次，于晚上七点在校内图书馆进行。(会期Meeting Schedule) 会议内容包括家教会主席，财政，学校议会代表，校长，学生议会代表，教师代表，家长教育议会，精英班代表和外展班 代表，等等的各项报告；会议还常常加入有关家长教育的精彩内容，家长可得益不浅！

학부모의 참여는 곧 학생의 성공을 의미합니다

가정과 학교 공동체간의 관계는 간과해서는 안 될 중요한 부분입니다

이미 많은 보고서에서 학부모의 학교 참여와 학생의 성공에 관한  연구 결과를 발표한 바 있습니다

교육에 있어 학부모 참여에 관한 최근 보고에 의하면,

·         유치원부터 고교 졸업까지 가정의 역할은 학생의 성취 결과에 지대한 영향을 미치며,

·         부모의 학교 참여가 늘수록 학생의 학교 생활의 질과 시간이 늘어나며,

·         이런 가정이 늘어나면, 학교 또한 눈부신 발전을 이룰수 있다.

올 학기,PW 학부모회에 직접 참여함으로써,집에서와 같이 자녀분들을 성원해 주십시요.

PW  학부모회의 목적은 교장선생님이하, 교직원에게 학교 정책, 행사외 다양한 활동에 관해 조언함으로써 교육의 질적 향상을 도모하고자 합니다.

PW PAC(학부모회)은 매달 정기적으로 7PM 학교 도서실에서 열리며,

매 회의에서는 PAC회장, 회계담당,교장외 교직원, 학생대표,보모교육 담당 부서,MINI와 TREK대표들이 참여하여, 간단한 보고와 필요 안건에 대해 논의합니다.
