Constitution and By-laws Amendment
At the November 5th PAC Meeting, membership voted to amend Section 4.3 by replacing
“Any voting member of the PAC is eligible to serve on the executive, except employees or elected officials of School District #39, or the Ministry of Education.” with
“Any voting member of the PAC is eligible to serve on the executive, except employees of School District #39, who are assigned at Prince of Wales Secondary School.”
Rationale – the current By-law in the PAC Constitution is too restricting for eligibility to be an executive member.
At the AGM on May 27th 2013, membership voted to ratify the following amended amendment:
Move to amend the PW PAC Constitution and Bylaws Section X – FINANCIAL MATTERS
#1 Requests for Funding by replacing:
“PAC will accept requests for funding from the PW School Finance Committee twice a year at, or as close as possible to, the October and January general meetings.“
with
“PAC will accept requests for funding from the PW School Finance Committee once a year by October 15th.“
Rationale: Having one round of requests in October will motive staff members to plan early and will facilitate the timely disbursement of allocated funds.
